Originally from Cicero, Indiana, I relocated to Indianapolis for college and launched my career as a young professional. While pursuing my education, I had the incredible opportunity to study abroad in China, Mexico, and Argentina, experiences that ignited my passion for international education (IE). For over 15 years now, I've dedicated myself to this field, exploring the world through my work.
Recently, I returned to Cicero with my wife, Andrea, our children Santiago (5.5 yrs) and Camila (2.5 yrs), along with our two Irish Golden Doodles, Finn McCool and Benandonner, and our cat named Estrella. Together, we cherish our leisure time, which we often spend traveling, hiking, camping, kayaking, attending concerts, and, personally, riding motorcycles whenever possible.
One of the best tips for international students looking to study in the U.S. is to thoroughly research and understand the cultural and academic differences of each school you are considering. Attend virtual campus visits to get a feel for the campus environment, its resources, and to meet with a current student. Connecting with faculty or alumni can also provide valuable insights and support; helping to make your decision easier. This preparation will help you adapt more quickly and make the most of your educational experience.
Wabash College celebrates the rich tapestry of cultures woven together by our international student community, each thread adding brilliance to our collective experience. Students are empowered to engage in groundbreaking research, immersive learning experiences, and vibrant extracurriculars, all with small class sizes that offer unparalleled access to professors.
